What we get up to

Our versatile fleet allows our members to participate in all types of dinghy sailing and canoeing. Members can spend the day cruising as a group or as a twosome, either individually or as a flotilla enjoying the beautiful weather this region brings.

We regularly sail to other areas of the Mar Menor and berth, anchor or moor up to a buoy and partake in lunch at a local beach bar.

The size and shape of the Mar Menor allows for sufficient variation to keep you occupied and there is also the ability to participate in racing under the SAMM racing umbrella.

Onshore we work together as a team to maintain the fleet under the guidance of our Maintenance Officer and boat team leaders, as well as enjoying a drink with tapas at the CAR cafeteria  after a day afloat.

Our members also contribute to the smooth running of SAMM, both on and off the water, and are always ready to give a helping hand to fellow sailors at “CTD Infanta Cristina” Sports Centre (CAR) in Los Narejos, just off the N332, in Los Alcázares, Murcia.  We keep in touch with each other through our Google Mail website, where all our Members are listed and emailed or called as required.
